We are currently hiring for the 2021-2022 academic year!
If you are qualified, motivated and passionate about teaching English, we want to hear from you! Send your CV and a cover letter to thebritishschool@gmail.com.
The British School Aljarafe operates its flagship location in Castilleja de la Cuesta, a friendly and bustling town of 17,000 inhabitants located just 6 km west of Seville. Castilleja is easily accessible by both car and public transportation. Apart from the Castilleja centre, The British School Aljarafe also runs language schools in Sanlúcar la Mayor (3 locations), Montequinto and Villamanrique de la Condesa. We deeply value our role in these close-knit communities where we operate, and our teachers relish in the opportunity to form part of not just the fantastic staff, but also the very fabric of village life. In fact, it’s not uncommon for teachers to find themselves with an entire family as their students!
The British School Aljarafe is firmly committed to offering the highest quality of education by means of a dynamic, interactive and communicative approach to language learning. We believe that a student learns best when motivated by positive reinforcement and inspired by the personalized challenges and goals that our teachers set for them. In order to guarantee a positive and productive learning experience, we rely on a carefully selected staff of highly qualified, creative, motivated and dedicated teachers. They are adept at working in a team, while also allowing their unique personalities and talents to make every classroom a truly special learning environment for the students.
Our staff understands that teaching languages carries responsibilities that go beyond the walls of the classroom; more than a job, it is a vocation. Teachers will take part in seasonal parties (Halloween, Christmas, Easter/Spring, End-of-year), and attend monthly meetings in order to actively participate in important decision-making processes as well as the development of ideas about methodology, events, activities or any other aspect regarding the school’s operations. And because our teachers are also learners, they will attend professional formation conferences and workshops throughout the academic year.
